N-power Portal to be re-open by June 17, 2017 for Registration of New Applicants – see details here


This is coming as good news and a sigh of relief for those entire applicants who have been waiting for the second batch list of successful shortlisted candidates and many still unemployed that the federal government has order for the re-opening of the N-power Job Recruitment portal as from June 17, 2017. The federal government has design the N-power programme to drastically reduce youth unemployment.


The Nigerian Minister of State, Budget and National Planning, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed, said that the federal government would scale up the N-SIP to accommodate more beneficiaries. 
The focus is to provide young graduates and non-graduates skills; tools and livelihood to enable them advance from unemployment to employment, entrepreneurship and innovation.
Like you will recall, the N-sip was launch in 2016 and it’s a federal government programme aimed at reducing poverty and improving livelihoods of vulnerable groups such as the unemployed youths, women and children.
The programme has so far empowered over 1.6 million Nigerians through its four components, namely; N-power, National Home Grown School Feeding Programme, Conditional Cash Transfer, and Government Enterprise and Empowerment programme. Each of the programme will see more participant added to it.
The minister further said that the Acting President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, has directed that the online portal should be reopened on June 17 to give Nigerian youths opportunity to apply for the Next batch.
N-power is one of the components of the N-SIP which is aimed at empowering Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 35 years by paying them N30, 000 monthly over a period of two years.
Please pass this message to all your friends and tell them that the N-power jobs Recruitment for New intake will commence by June 17. They should be ready. As for those who are currently in the programme, please note that the federal government has been paying N4, 500 monthly to a company that would supply the electronic gadgets, which will be ready for disbursement this June. A general notice which will be given in batches will be sent to all N-power Volunteer beneficiaries’. the N-power portal will be reopened from June 17, 2017 and will be ready to employ 300,000 applicant in which an online aptitude test will be conducted so select the final beneficiaries.
